Editing a PDF is not editing a document
A PDF describes a printed page, so marks are drawn on top of it and nothing re-flows around them. Text you change in a word processor moves the rest of the page; a mark placed here does not.

Marks become part of the page
Every mark is drawn into the page itself, so it looks and prints the same in every reader. It cannot be moved or removed afterwards.
One kind of mark is not here
Freehand drawing is not here. Capturing a stroke is an input surface of its own, and the signature pad is where this product draws by hand; it saves what you draw as a picture.
