There is nothing to set. qpdf re-emits every object it can still read into a clean file, and the list below is what that does and does not reach.
What this build recovers
- A damaged cross-reference table, rebuilt from the objects still in the file.
- Wrong stream lengths and object streams that cannot be re-read.
- Junk after the end of the document.
- Page-tree bookkeeping that disagrees with itself.
What it cannot recover
- Bytes that are not in the file. Nothing can invent page content that was never there.
- A file you have no password for. Use Unlock PDF for a document you own.
